Ferro Corp. Commission - 1989

In 1989, I was commissioned by the Ferro Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio, to create a series of four glass panels for their corporate headquarters. Designed specifically for the space, the work integrates seamlessly with its surroundings. The images shown here capture the panels in their installed location within the lobby.

Installation of the Panels — My assistant, Mark Konys, is shown here installing one of the glass panels. The process required the use of a highly specialized adhesive to ensure both precision placement and long-term stability.

In 1990, I was commissioned by a private client to design and install an 18-foot by 12-foot glass wall — a work that combined scale and precision. The base was crafted from black mirror glass, overlaid with a composition in Vitrolite, an opaque colored glass. Its vivid, saturated colors, paired with the reflective depth of the mirror glass, create a bold and timeless presence.
